Malaysia’s history has been shaped by its location on the principal trade routes between East and West Asia, with archaeological evidence of trade between China and the Malay Peninsula from the 1st Century CE. In modern history, Malaysia was colonized by Portuguese, followed by the Dutch then the British in the 18th Century. Malaya gain her independence in 1957 and in 1963, Malaysia is formed with the union of two states of Sabah and Sarawak from Borneo. Malaysia is blessed with the diverse culture of the Malays, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous tribes from Peninsular, Sabah and Sarawak had made Malaysia unique harmoniously.
