Pop music fans brace yourself! the legendary Irish boyband, Boyzone will present a special night of reunion in the capital city ofJakarta on 22nd May 2015. Entitled “Boyzone: Back Again No Matter What”, this historical first ever concert in Indonesia will be staged at the Istora Senayan, the Bung Karno Sport Complex.
The concert forms part of the BZ20 World Tour to support their fifth studio album BZ20 released in November 2013 which marks the milestone of their 20th year of existence in the music industry. “The goal of the concert is to quench the longing of fans for Boyzone live performance in Indonesia and to celebrate their impressive 20th year of making great hits. First formed in 1993, Boyzone is considered one of the most renowned boybands in the world and as one of the most successful bands in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Boyzone has had 21 singles in the top 40 UK charts and 22 singles in the Irish charts. The group had 6 UK number one singles and 9 number one singles in Ireland with 12 of their 24 singles in the UK being in the UK Top 2. Boyzone had 19 top 5 singles on the Irish Singles Chart, 18 top 10 hits on the UK Singles Chart, nine No. 1 Irish hit singles and six No. 1 UK hit singles and five No. 1 albums, with 25 million records sold by 2013 worldwide.
Their most famous line-up was composed of Keith Duffy, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, and Shane Lynch. However, the group split in 1999 before they got together again and made a comeback in 2007. On 10th October 2009, Stephen Gately died of natural causes, leaving the four existing members to continue Boyzone.
