The phenomenal operatic pop quartet Il Divo is set to stage yet another special performance in Indonesia’s capital city of Jakarta as they bring “ A Musical Affair: The Greatest Songs of Broadway Live” to the Ritz Carlton Ballroom, Pacific Place Jakarta on 21st March 2014.

The concert in Jakarta will be part of Il Divo’s world tour to promote their latest album “A Musical Affair” which was released in 2013. The album itself is a compilation of hits from some of Broadway finest musical shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Carousel, and West Side Story. The album also sees the collaboration of Il Divo with renowned artists including Barbra Streisand, Kristin Chenoweth, Nicole Scherzinger, Heather Headley dan Michael Ball.

For, to the four sensational singers of Il Divo, Urs Buhler, Carlos Marin, David Miller, and Sebastien Izambard, the theatre is definitely no stranger to them. Carlos Marlin played Marius in Les Misérables when the show was performed for the first time in Spain in 1993, while David Miller has also played as Rodolfo in the musical La Bohème in 2003. David Miller even received 7 Tony Award nominations for his performance in the show.

In Jakarta, the audience will definitely be indulged with Il Divo’s special romantic and emotional interpretations of some of Broadway’s classics including “Some Enchanted Evening” (South Pacific), “Bring Him Home” (Les Misérables), “Tonight” (West Side Story), and more. The group will also give new touches and fresh arrangements for “Music of the Night” (Phantom of the Opera) , “All I Ask Of You” (Phantom of the Opera), “Memory” (Cats), and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” (The Lion King).

The concert is designed by an old time collaborator and artistic director of Il Divo: Brian Burke who has also collaborated with some of the world’s superstars such as Celine Dion, Elton John, Rod Stewart, and The Killers.

Il Divo are no strangers to Jakarta and Indonesia either. The concert will be the 4th time the group performs in Indonesia after their show in 2007, 2009, and 2012. The last time they were here on 25th February 2012, this exceptional vocal group attracted a full house and astounding the audience with a fascinating performance.
