Plain of Jars
Harkening back to the Iron Age, the Plain of Jars is a fascinating attraction nestled in the enchanting heart of Lao PDR. The Plain of Jars is located in the province of Xieng Khouang, a mountainous plateau closely linked with the ancient Tai Phuan people.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the mysterious Plain of Jars has inspired many theories. The closest town to the plain is Phonsavan, which can be reached by plane or bus from Lao PDR’s major cities; once you get to the town, there are countless tours (or even motorbike rentals!) that will get you to the jar sites.

Champasak Cultural Landscape

Hin Nam No National Park
In central Lao PDR, 941 square kilometres of land are protected as Hin Nam No National Park, a magnificent natural area known for its incredible biodiversity.
