Begin your adventure to the East in Viet Nam’s capital, Hanoi, where you will find beauty in its contrasts – set out on a one-hour cyclo ride around the streets of the Old Quarter one day, and explore the tree-lined boulevards of the French Quarter (along with the city’s many historic structures) the next.
Take a relaxing sampan ride through stunning landscapes when you head off to Ninh Binh Province and see the Tam Coc Grottoes, followed by a short cyclo ride to Bich Dong Cave.
Ha Long Bay comes next, arguably one of Southeast Asia’s most stunning sights. Cruise around its many rock formations, mysterious caves, and beautiful beaches – while enjoying breathtaking sunsets, starry skies, and fresh local seafood.
Fly off to Hue, once the ancient capital and cultural heart of Viet Nam. You’ll embark on another boat ride, this time along the romantic Perfume River to one of the oldest and most picturesque pagodas, and then off to see the palaces, ornate halls and libraries of the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Just a short ride away stands Hoi An – a well-preserved ancient town best seen through a walking tour that takes you past the old quarter’s centuries-old Japanese covered bridge, the old family houses, and its other architectural highlights, with a side trip to the small vegetable-growing village of Tra Que where you can lend a hand to the local farmers.
Your final stop in Viet Nam takes you to lively Ho Chi Minh City. Take a stroll along Dong Khoi Street, where high-end boutiques, quaint cafés, and souvenir shops abound, before seeing some of the city’s other famed landmarks.
You’ll also take in a scenic drive through the Mekong River Delta, where you’ll then go on a boat trip to experience the famed Cai Be floating market with its hundreds of small merchant boats anchored along the banks of the river.
In Thailand, you’ll begin in its capital city, Bangkok. You’ll continue to experience the exotic Asian culture as you see the magnificent temples, take a tuk-tuk to the flower market, ride a long-tail boat along the “East of Venice,” Bangkok Noi Canals, and take cruise down the Chao Phraya River.
You’ll also get a chance to see what Thailand must have been like many centuries ago in Ayutthaya. The former capital is one of the most impressive ruined cities of Asia, where the lovely Wat Phra Sri Sanpetch and other temples will impress. The shops of Bangkok will also do the trick as you head back to the city with some time to experience the city’s glitzy shopping haunts before your trip comes to a close.
