After the spectacular performances presented by international pop stars Christina Perri and Jesie J on Sunday, 8th March 2015, the 11th edition of Java Jazz 2015 in Jakarta may have come to a close. But, the groove of Jazz does not stop there as it continues to reverberate to the enchanting island of Bali with the Bali Live International Jazz Festival 2015 ongoing from 9thMarch to 15th March 2015.

Entering its second year after its successful inaugural edition last year, Bali Live International Jazz Festival is an annual jazz event which partners with Java Festival Production to bring a series of spectacular Jazz shows to the island. The event features some of the world’s best International acts performing alongside top Indonesian artists amidst the beautiful and unique setting of Bali and regarded as the most high profile Live Music event that the island has seen.

This year the show will feature some of the most prominent international jazz musicians including: Incognito, Richard Bona, Maurice Brown, Magnus Lindgren, John Primer, Jim Larkin, Daniel Capucci, and more. From Indonesia’s own music scene, the lineup will feature Trie Utami, Tulus, Indra Lesmana, Nita Aartsen, Gustu Brahman Trio, and more.

Unlike Java Jazz which is centered in one massive venue, Bali Live International Jazz Festival takes audiences to a number of fascinating spots all over the island including to Taman Bhagawan in Nusa Dua, Jazz Café Ubud, Ryoshi House of Jazz inSeminyak, Hanging Gardens Ubud, KU De Ta in Seminyak, Viceroy Bali in Ubud, Le Meridien Bali in Jimbaran, and Ayodya Resort in Nusa Dua.

Ias Balaskas, Director of the festival explained that the event  will be similar to that of Java Jaz in Jakarta.”What makes the  difference is that this year we are giving a larger portion for Indonesian musicians to showcase their talents in the festival” added Ias Balaskas as quoted from viva.co.id.  Commenced on Monday, 9th March 2015 at the Ryoshi House of Jazz in Seminyak, the festival will come to a pinnacle on 15th March 2015 at the Taman Bhagawan in Nusa Dua.

Java Jazz Successfully Attracted over 100,000 Audience

Meanwhile, the annual 3-days’ jazz fiesta of Java Jazz Festival 2015 successfully indulged audiences who came from all over the archipelago and overseas with spectacular shows from top international and Indonesian musicians. Java Festival Production as promoter and organizer of the festival correctly predicted that the 3 days festival would attract about a total of 130,000 audiences. Dewi Gintha, President Director of Java Festival Production revealed that compared to the other 2 days, the highest number of attendance occurred on Saturday, 7th March 2015. “The flow of attendance has pleased our sponsors. We are very certain that this year’s Java Jazz Festival has reached the total number of 130,000” explained Dewi Gonth as reportedberitasatu.com.

Dewi also added that Java Festival Production is ready to deliver yet another fascinating edition of Java Jazz Festival next year in the first weekend of March or on 4th to 6th March 2016 at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Jakarta.
