Lionel Richie, – legendary pop singer who needs little introduction,- is set to stage a special performance in Jakarta on 3rd April 2014 to quench the longing of all his fans in Indonesia . To be held at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, the concert forms part of the All the Hits-All Night Long Tour that takes Lionel Richie to the USA, Europe, Australia and Asia.

Chosen as one of the countries in the Asia Tour that also include Japan, China, and the Philippines, Indonesia is known to have a massive base of Lionel Richie fans, where his hits are adored by cross generations of music lovers across the archipelago. The concert will be Lionel Richie’s second performance in Indonesia after his first successful show in 2006 which was also staged at the Jakarta Convention Center.

At the age of 64, the charismatic singer will definitely indulge the audience in this capital city with his distinct voice in some of the most everlasting romantic hits of all times , such as “Hello” “Say You Say Me”, “Stuck on You”, “Easy”, “All Night Long”, “Endless Love”, and more. Richie will also perform a duet with one of Indonesian pop diva whose name has still been kept secret.

Five-time Grammy Award winner Lionel Richie is a music icon known for his solo hits and as a member of the Commodores. Collectively he has sold more than 100 million albums, and written and recorded chart-topping hits. Lionel Richie rose from humble beginnings in Tuskegee, Alabama, USA, to become one of the most influential figures in music.

Richie was singer, songwriter and front man of the legendary band The Commodores, with hits including “Brick House”, “Too Hot To Trot”, and “Machine Gun”. He also wrote classic ballads while in The Commodores, including “Easy”, “Sail On” and “Three Times A Lady”.

An Oscar and Golden Globe winner, Richie went solo in 1982 and dominated the decade with hits like “Truly”, “You Are”, “Say You Say Me”, “Ballerina Girl”, “Running With The Night” and “Dancing On The Ceiling”. His latest album, Tuskegee (released in 2012), featuring duets with country superstars Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Blake Shelton, and Shania Twain went to No. 1 on the Billboard chart and sold more than one million copies.

The concert in Indonesia is brought by Blackrock Entertainment, who last year successfully staged the spectacular concert of Metallica at the Bung Karno Sport Complex Main Stadium.
